Made

Yours truly in a tunic finished last night. Whew! This was a total learning process for me - darts, interfacing, sewing a straight line...heehee. I used some fabric from the thrift store that wasn't the easiest to work with (kinda thin and stretchy, kinda pain-in-the-arse material, but pretty).

Here's a detail shot of the embroidery I added to the front - a bit of threaded running stitch.

The pattern is from Diana Rupp's SEW Sew Everything Workshop, a book that is proving invaluable to me as a beginner. And for embroidery I turn to Doodle Stitiching by Aimee Ray. I have a big time love for both books.

Here's to a happy weekend!
